NFCT Cartography Internship

During the summer of 2019, I worked as an Intern for the Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) in northern Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. I was part of the 3-member GIS and Cartography team.

We canoed rivers in the wilderness of northern Maine, collecting GPS points and other notes along the way. With this information, we were able to prepare trips reports and reach maps to help folks go out confidently into nature.

This experience taught me an immense amount about leadership, teamwork, and taking on ambitious goals. All in all, we were able to prepare 12 reach maps that are available on the NFCT website for paddlers to use.
